My wife, daughter and I have just reluctantly left this lovely cottage to return home. I have to say it's in a great location close to beaches, restaurants and pubs. The owner kindly left us a welcome pack of some essentials which was much appreciated. From booking to leaving the whole experience has been excellent. We had a great time the cottage is tip top and very homely. The owner gave us some handy tips on local things to see and do which was great. On the whole a great place to stay that provided fantastic value for money. We wouldn't hesitate to book again and this was advocated by the numerous repeat visits entered in the visitor book. So if you want a home from home in a great location and have all you need then look no further........

We stayed 3 nights in the beach haven cottage in Seahouses from 02/11/17 It is ideally located for all the local amenities in Seahouses and the surrounding areas. The cottage is clean and tidy and has everything you need for your stay including the beautiful coal fire which we made full use of. Our car was a little to big to fit in the car park space at the rear of the property but it is not a problem as there is plenty of free parking available in neighbouring streets. I would definitely recommend the cottage for families and their pets for short or longer breaks in this part of Northumberland

The location is superb and the information pack gave us lots of ideas for days out. The standard of the accommodation is superb and I would highly recommend booking this cottage.

We really enjoyed staying here, very nice and clean, modern house, comfy bed, easy access within a couple of minutes to all local amenities. Plenty of things to do around, we especially enjoyed the beach walks. The parking behind the cottage would easily accommodate a small car, our Focus was a bit too long but we had no problem in finding a parking space by the main road. Also Jo went the extra mile for our journey to be perfect, she even provided a high chair for our baby and a baby bath tub! We would definitely recommend and go back there!

Just came back from a fantastic week in Seahouses, Stayed at this lovely homely delightful cottage. It had everything we needed. From a nice little hamper to get us started to the Beach just a couple of minutes walk. We were approached from a local resident who so kindly let me and my wife park outside his home for our weeks stay. Overall if I could give this property more than 5 Stars then i would most certainly would! Thank you Jo for letting us stay in your wonderful located Cottage. We cannot express how much we enjoyed our Stay. I would highly Recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the fabulous fishing village of Seahouses. Also would like to add how lovely the Dog walks where from walking through the Golf Course (having a pint to) to the wonderful Dog friendly Beaches. Nice One Jo. Kind Regards Paul & Sue

Beautiful part of the world to stay!!

Left on Jul 18, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017
Wish I had come to this part of the world sooner! A really stunning area to stay! Weather is very mixed so would recommend layers. The Farne Islands is a must as is a visit to Bamburgh Castle, Low Newton and of course Lindisfarne. If you can, go to Lindisfarne during "lock down" when the causeway is flooded and you cannot get over. It is so peaceful and hardly anyone there at this time. Lovely cottage with lovely lounge and open fire if needed. The parking space is small, we couldn't fit our car there, but there is ample parking over the road, so was not an issue at all.

Lovely cottage, well equipped and very dog friendly. The harbour is 2 minutes away and there are lots of beautiful beaches to explore along the coastline. It was perfect for us as a couple with two dogs, but it would also suit a family, as there is a second twin bedroom and lots to do in the area. The boat trip to the Farne Islands was fantastic, as we saw a pod of dolphins, as well as seals and birds.

Perfect place to discover Northumberland

Left on Apr 26, 2017 for a stay in Apr 2017
Our first visit to Northumberland, Seahouses is the perfect location. The cottage is well equipped, clean, comfortable and the welcome pack left by the owners was a very nice touch. 2 minutes to the harbour, the long Sandy beach and the many shops, eating places and pubs means everything you need is within walking distance. From Seahouses local places of interest are easy to reach, we visited and would recommend - Barter Books in Alnwick, Cragside (National Trust), Bamburgh Castle and the Farne islands. On our way home a walk along Hadrians Wall was a lovely end to our 4 day break. There is still loads to see and do, so we will hopefully visit again and would definitely see if this cottage was available!!

Great little break in a fab cottage. It had everything we needed, very cosy and ideal location. It even has a 'challenge' in the form of the parking bay! Not being one to be defeated - I rose to the challenge and conquered! Overall we really enjoyed our Easter Break and will hopefully return in the near future.

A great little cottage in a fabulous place. Close to all the local amenities. Very well equipped kitchen, cosy lounge. 2 very spacious bedrooms. Bathroom has a very good shower. Small enclosed area at the front of the cottage, ideal for having a brew in the sunshine. Parking is only for a small car although we found lots of free parking fairly close by or £3.50 for 24 hours in the main car park. All in all a very good cottage in a great location.

What a fantastic cottage, conveniently situated in Seahouses . With local amenities on your door step. Furnished to a very high standard , everything you need for a hassle free holiday. Great for cosy nights in , in front of the real fire. Fantastic location with so many places to visit, worth trying the local bus service to Newcastle and Edinburgh , so convenient and cheap to travel. Northumberland has so much to offer we have returned year after year and always some where new to visit, such as Barter books in Alnwick ( great cakes and coffee), craster kippers (fantastic traditional smoke house) and a boat trip to the Farne Isles to name a few.

Excellent accommodation which was clean, warm and with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our dog Oscar particularly liked the log fire. The location is perfect it is a two minute walk to the local high street which has all the shops you need and a good selection of restaurants. We would recommend the Links View Hotel for meals which is dog friendly. The house is about a five minute walk to the lovely beach and a couple of nice pubs, nearby is also a local golf course. Both Bamburgh and Beadnell are within five minute drives or nice strolls along the beach. This is a great place to stay and nothing was to much trouble for the owner Jo. We would stay here again without hesitation

Absolutely brilliant cottage for a Family Vacation

Brilliant well equipped cottage right in the heart of Seahouses. From pots and pans, to bedding and towels, to fresh eggs and bread on arrival, the owners of this cottage have really thought about those little things that make this cottage special. As a family with 6 and 8 year olds, the cottage suited all of us, and served us well. The local area has an amazing amount of attractions to explore, and our feet never stopped moving. We would definitely return to this lovely cottage.

We stayed at Beach Haven for three nights in September and were very impressed. It's in a great location - very close to the docks and lots of shops/restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by the fact that milk, eggs, and stottie bread were left for us, as well as coupons for some of the nearby castles. The kitchen is amazing, we had some cozy fires in the fireplace, and we watched several of the movies provided (there are also games and books).
.Beach Haven was absolutely wonderful and if I were to visit the area again, I would happily book it again.

Just spent the most fabulous long weekend at this super cottage! Jo has provided everything you could possibly need in the cottage, it's very comfy and in a brilliant location for exploring this gorgeous little place, really handy for the pubs and restaurants and the area itself is incredible! Will certainly consider coming back! Thanks for everything Jo — Andy Lawrence, 04 Oct 2016
Beach Haven cottage is a fantastic base for exploring the wonderful Northumberland coastline. Situated in the heart of Seahouses village, it is conveniently situated a few minutes walk from the high Street with easy access to restaurants, pubs, shops and the harbour area where you can take a boat out to the Farne Islands and see the very impressive wildlife of seals gulls and puffins. The cottage itself is very well furnished with a satellite TV and an impressive 30mbps Internet connection. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped , the beds are very comfortable and the shower very efficient.
The cottage is kept clean to a very high standard to await your arrival and the generous host even provides a welcome pack of a bottle of wine ,tea ,coffee, milk bread and eggs in case you arrive after the shops have closed. I would not hesitate to recommend Beach Haven cottage as an excellent base for a great holiday.

Had a lovely three day stay in Beach Haven cottage with three friends last weekend and was very impressed with the cottage, facilities, cleanliness and location. The welcome pack of eggs, milk and rustic bread was much appreciated.

We visited Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and Alnwick castle - all within easy reach of Seahouses.

We're planning on a return visit next year to spend more time in this wonderful part of England and won't hesitate to book Beach Haven again. It's a real find and maintained to a high standard.

Thank you.

Stayed for 4 nights in September. Lovely little cottage. Beautifully decorated and clean. Well equipped for self catering with lots of well thought touches such as bread, eggs & milk on arrival. Right in the heart of Seahouses, couple of minutes walk to harbour. Weather was really nice which made our stay even better. Comfortable lounge area with free wifi. Good beds with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Powerful shower and spacious bathroom. Will definitely want to stay here again.

Fantastic Cottage on the Sea

If you are visiting Seahouses to see the seabirds on the Farne Islands I can certainly recommend this cottage as a fantastic place to stay. Spacious, comfortable cottage with plenty of home comforts for a longer stay. The host was even kind enough to leave some bread and milk in anticipation of our late arrival. 5 minute walk from the harbour, 2 minutes to the supermarket.

We have just returned from a stay in Beach Haven cottage. It was our first visit to Northumberland and will not be our last. Firstly, the cottage is perfectly situated to visit the beautiful coastline and villages, but also it is a wonderful village in it's own right. The locals are very warm and welcoming and there are some lovely pubs which serve great beers!

The cottage is so well equipped with everything you could possibly require. A welcome pack awaited us with traditional bakery items, milk and farm fresh eggs and a lovely bottle of wine. The kitchen is great if you want to cook in and the cottage is clean, bright, airy and well maintained. We will definitely return and use this accommodation again, although I think it may get fairly booked up once people discover how great it is.

The owners made us so welcome and gave us a list of places to visit together with a list of eateries in the surrounding villages. They are always on hand, living only a few minutes away.

Can't recommend this highly enough, an absolute delight.

Thank you I hope you will have us back.

What a fabulous stay at this wonderful cottage. the cottage was very well equipped, clean and welcoming. the welcome package that is left for guests is next to none and shows the appreciation and welcoming of the owners. normally we would have our small dog with us and it was well equipped for when we bring him next time.
the shower and the log fire was the best parts for us as a family (everyone will have their own little things they like about the cottage but those two was ours)
we will definitely be back and that's for sure!!!

We have just spent a week here with our two children. Decorated nicely, this is a very clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. It is in a handy location for the shops, restaurants, beach and harbour at Seahouses. The weather was a bit cool but the heating was good and warmed the place up well. We also made the most of the stocked kindling and coal and got the place toasty on a few evenings. Comfy beds and a good power shower. The Bosch dishwasher and the washerdyer were easy to use. Plenty of clear instructions for TV, dvd, sky etc. Jo the owner was also quick to reply to our questions, was very helpful and made us feel very welcome. There was also a selection of dvds and a few kids games which were handy for us. Thanks for a great break. — Malcolm Mackay, 11 Apr 2016
This is lovely welcoming cottage with every amenity you would need for a stay in the gorgeous Seahouses. The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival and the recent refurbishment has obviously made a huge difference. The welcome basics were a pleasant surprise but the shops and restaurants are all in easy reach. Our dog also had a wonderful time in this very dog friendly area. She had her own supply of biscuits provided by the owner.
We would have no hesitation in retuning and recommending this delightful cottage. Good luck to Joanne in the future.
